Comfort foods
My cough stopped right after a cup of coffee that day, and I wondered how much was psychological. I also had better sleep the last two night with very light wheezing – thank you Mrs. Brown for praying.
This morning I had a cup of honeyed plum tea and was instantly transported back to Japan. I remember the umeboshi, a sour, pickled plum, which is usually enjoyed with cooked rice; just thinking about it made my mouth water! I'm a junkie for preserved/dried fruit: apricot, Chinese olive, dates, mango, prune and the list can go on...dried plums rank on top of the list.Lunch was banana sandwich, the boys had pizza and my better half ate the left overs: fried cabbage with bacon bits and sambal eggs; he bought fried chicken so I don't have to cook dinner, he's always very thoughtful that way!

Hi Michelle,
I just spent the last 20 minutes or so looking through every single post in this blog! Wah, you eat so well compared to me. All the food looks sooooooo delicious!
