double celebration

my boys bought me dinner at Romano's Macaroni Grill.
i had Tuscan Rib-eye served with creamy garlic mashed potatoes and fresh grilled asparagus.
i was stuffed but still has a few mouth full of the smothered chocolate cake, topped with warm homemade chocolate ganache and sprinkled with pecan pieces.
i'm repeating here but this really was the best chocolate cake we have ever had!

African connection

six out of nine sitted around the dinner table tonight have spent sometime in Africa...my better half was in Tunisia for a very short time. i spent half a year in West Africa and Luther was there last year where he met Russ, who happened to be in town this weekend. Russ, Ruthie and Jobby grew up in Africa as MKs... i'm grateful to God for their friendship with my boys, they are awesome folks!

Tuesday -lunch with Ms Baragia: rendang and lo han vegetables; her child like faith has been a constant source of encouragement: her car died and she had no mean to get one herself, so she asked God for one. Someone approached her and gave her a car!!!

we went to Wild Hare for our lunch date: we had tender beef tips with three sides, we both liked the raw chips!

Thursday -lunch with Le-lah
: satay chicken with cucumber; a dish that she really likes ever since our trip to Sumatra.

Psalm 27:4

i'm asking God for one thing, only one thing:

to live with him in his house my whole life long

i'll
contemplate his beauty and i'll study at his feet

happy birthday to my seventeen year old!
