not really, at least in my case.
i should have -
take my child to the Doctor when he had a lingering cold,
say no to him when he wanted to go to the soccer practice,
tell him it's okay to miss the first game of the season, and
put my foot down and say no Frisbee on Sunday ...
and i should not have sent him back to school even if he wanted to.

i had to pick him up from school at noon.
he looked sickly, shivering in cold, fingers had turned blue.
"the headache came back and my lower back hurt.
the PE teacher made me dress out and do stretches.
mom, i can't do the jumping jack."
"you were not suppose to do all that!"

i was mad and scared at the same time.
i was mad at the PE teacher.
i was mad at myself for letting him back to the school.
